The Falls Church High School Orchestra Department is the largest performing arts department at Falls Church High School with over 120 students enrolled in the program across three performing ensembles.

The four orchestras: Symphonic Orchestra, Sinfonietta, Camerata, and Chamber Orchestra, perform three or four concerts each year, play at various events throughout the FCHS community, and participate in the VBODA Orchestra Assessment. The orchestras consistently receive superior ratings at state assessments. The orchestra department has won national competitions including first place finishes in Orlando, Williamsburg, and New York City. In 2024, the Chamber Orchestra was invited to perform at the VMEA Professional Development Conference.

Symphonic Orchestra is open to any student at Falls Church High School while Sinfonietta, Camerata, and Chamber Orchestras are audition only ensembles.
